Our take on Card-en-Ciel
Instead of presenting deckbuilding as a largely standalone run-based system, Card-en-Ciel places it within a full JRPG story. It also adds character performances, dungeon exploration, online challenges, and real-time matches to the card-battling structure.
What is Card-en-Ciel?
Card-en-Ciel is a roguelite card-battling RPG with a full story set in an in-development game world.
Players control Neon, a detective who investigates crimes in full-dive VR games. Dungeons can be explored freely, with players choosing which enemies to fight. Victories add allies to the deck, while more than 300 cards represent characters from other games. Battles take place on a 6x3 field. Muse cards activate special effects and songs when their conditions are met, with 50 vocal songs in total. The game includes more than 10 story dungeons, 10 extra difficulty levels, random events, Grand Battle Dungeons, daily and weekly challenges with online leaderboards, and real-time online head-to-head battles. Cards feature full English and Japanese voice acting.
