Our take on Sweep
Rather than using cards as a conventional hand-building system, Sweep turns all 17 cards into ammunition. Its combat structure also replaces standard poker rules with direct deck selection, item stacking, chain effects, and hand-clearing bonuses.
What is Sweep?
Sweep combines dungeon escape with tactical card play.
A submachine gun uses cards as ammunition, with each of the 17 cards representing one bullet. Select cards directly from the deck rather than following standard poker-hand rules, then combine card hands, stickers, and items to produce attacks and chain effects. Clearing the entire hand grants another turn and doubles damage for that turn. Card effects can be arranged around stacking items for larger attacks or creating extra turns. The game presents combat as a process of choosing and using all 17 cards while managing combinations to seize control of encounters.
How Sweep plays
- 01Card Ammunition
- Each of the 17 cards functions as one bullet for the submachine gun.
- 02Chain Effects
- Stickers and items attached to cards can combine to produce linked effects.
- 03Hand Clearing
- Playing every card in hand grants a new turn and doubles damage dealt during it.
- 04Direct Deck Selection
- Cards are chosen from the deck without using standard poker-hand rules.
Sweep compared to similar games
Shogun Showdown also combines turn-based combat with deck building and attack combinations, while Sweep uses a 17-card ammunition system, stickers, items, and hand-clearing bonuses. Back to the Dawn focuses on prison escape through fighting, investigation, and survival, rather than Sweep's card-driven dungeon combat.
