Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a low-consequence defeat system may stop at the injury mechanics, which continue to affect characters even without permanent death.
- Players who want fixed character progression may bounce off the random stat growth and its backup mechanic.
- Players looking for English-language dialogue may not fit the current Japanese-only release.
- Players seeking story scenes with full voice acting may stop at the absence of vocal performances during those scenarios.
Our take on Eutolant Saga
Players who expect predictable character builds may hit a wall when statistics grow randomly. The game adds a backup mechanic when progress slows, but that does not remove the uncertainty from developing a party or the continuing effects of injuries after defeat.
What is Eutolant Saga?
Eutolant Saga is a fantasy strategy RPG about an apprentice knight facing a kingdom-wide war.
The campaign follows an escape with a princess, recruitment of allies, travel across the world, and an attempt to recover the homeland. Battles use quick turn-based encounters without separate battle screens. Players can assemble a party from more than 40 allies, while a cast of over 120 characters appears through dramatic scenes and lighter dialogue. Character statistics develop randomly, with a backup mechanic that increases growth when progress slows. Special items support struggling characters. Defeat does not permanently remove characters, but injuries still have effects. The game is currently available in Japanese only.
