Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a combat-only game may find the daily management and camp relationships take up too much of the experience.
- Those who prefer a fixed cast and tightly scripted encounters may find procedurally generated characters and randomized events less suited to them.
- Players looking for a short, single-route story may not want a game with multiple endings and campaign-creation tools.
Our take on Together in Battle
The game combines roster management and tactical combat, so battle decisions share the schedule with recruitment, training, and investigation. That broader daily loop trades a combat-only pace for time spent handling the team between fights.
What is Together in Battle?
Together in Battle is a strategy RPG about recruiting and managing gladiators on the island of Dese while investigating a conspiracy.
Each day provides 2 Time Points to spend on activities such as training, arena fights, recruitment, shopping, quests, and investigation. At camp, characters pursue interests and form relationships that can affect morale, behavior, and combat skills. Battles use positioning, elevation, terrain, weather, knockbacks, and destructible environments; an undo stack allows moves to be revised. The game also includes randomized events and jobs, multiple endings, and procedurally generated characters and equipment. A campaign creation suite provides editors for characters, maps, scenes, dialogue, skills, and items, with options to share campaigns and use mods.
