Is Heavenworld worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- RPG players who want survival systems alongside combat and quests
- Sandbox players who prefer changing rules, factions, and missions between playthroughs
- Creators who want to build and share maps, stories, jobs, or companions
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly scripted adventure may find the changing game-master events and customizable structure too variable.
- Players who prefer quick, combat-focused sessions may not want to manage food, health, infection, camps, factions, vehicles, and supplies.
- Players looking for a conventional fantasy RPG may not want a zombie setting with autonomous factions and survivors.
Our take on Heavenworld
Instead of relying on a fixed campaign structure, Heavenworld gives an AI game master control over events and difficulty, while more than 80 settings and player-created content reshape each playthrough. Its RPG framework also includes camp management, faction politics, survival needs, and autonomous NPC communities.
What is Heavenworld?
Heavenworld combines open-world role-playing, survival, and management in a zombie setting.
Players customize characters through skills covering combat, crafting, negotiation, construction, and survival, while managing food, health, infection, inventory, camps, vehicles, and supplies. Factions compete for resources, and reputation affects their interactions. Autonomous NPC survivors form groups, seek resources, construct buildings, and manage their own needs. An AI game master controls events, adjusts difficulty, and brings a distinct personality to each game.
The game offers more than 80 customization options for missions, survival conditions, factions, zombies, skills, and other systems. Players can create maps, stories, jobs, trades, and companions; maps, stories, jobs, and companions can be shared through Steam Workshop. Playable in first- or third-person view with mouse and keyboard or a joystick.
