The main character is not a lone survivor: the group becomes the central management unit. Combat is paired with assignments, camp construction, scavenging, vehicle upkeep, and event choices, making settlement administration part of the genre’s usual survival loop.
What is Z Dawn?
Z Dawn is a turn-based survival RPG set after a zombie apocalypse.
The campaign centers on locating a treatment and getting the surviving group to safety. Players travel through wilderness areas, scavenging guns, bullets, garments, provisions, medical supplies, and other useful items. Each survivor is handled separately and outfitted based on their abilities. The settlement can be constructed, expanded, and reinforced, with assignments including farming, watch duty, construction, and vehicle repair. Journeys may lead to undead enemies, powerful zombie variants, raiders, strangers, or other survivor communities. Hundreds of situations present branching choices. Players also create and improve gear, maintain vehicles, and modify them for travel or protection. Roguelike mechanics influence each attempt at surviving the ruined world.
