Our take on Vimana
The store presentation gives substantial attention to mythology, soundtrack, and modern options, while the central experience remains a compact vertical shooter built around repeated combat runs and score-focused play.
What is Vimana?
Vimana is a vertical space shooter set around Indian mythology and Sanskrit epics.
Players pilot the sacred fighter craft through enemy-filled stages, firing broad shot patterns and using eight rotating shield orbs for defense. The game supports cooperative play for two players, along with assist settings, a Very Easy mode, and adjustable autofire rates. Practice mode can be customized for skill training.
Quality-of-life options include quick saves, rewinding for 10–18 minutes depending on the action, replay capture, online leaderboards, Steam Achievements, and display scaling choices. Players can rotate the gameplay in 90-degree steps and choose Raw Input on Windows or Steam Input. The package also includes an original soundtrack, instrument panels with added gameplay information and artwork, and controls described as simple.
