What is Dogyuun?
Dogyuun is a vertically scrolling science-fiction shoot 'em up built around detailed pixel art, large bosses, varied enemies, and demanding battles.
Players use four named weapon types, with no traditional power-up system; matching shot items grants bonus points. In two-player sessions, the ships can combine their attacks for increased firepower. The game includes adjustable assist options, a very low difficulty mode, practice tools, quick saves, rewinding, replay capture, online leaderboards, and Steam Achievements. Visual options include pixel-perfect or full-screen scaling, screen rotation, and selectable input methods. Its soundtrack was composed by Tatsuya Uemura, and the story follows a desperate response to a colony overrun by mysterious mechanical entities.
