Our take on BULLET SOUL
Rather than treating survival as the sole objective, the game makes aggressive proximity play part of scoring: close attacks raise multipliers and can nullify enemy bullets. Its structure also adds stage practice and timed runs alongside standard arcade-style play.
What is BULLET SOUL?
Bullet Soul is a vertical shooting game combining classic shooter structure with dense bullet patterns and explosive visual effects.
Players can survive by studying enemy behavior or attack at close range to raise a score multiplier and neutralize incoming bullets. Stages contain hidden bonuses, while four modes support different approaches, including Bancho Mode for practicing individual stages and Caravan Mode for timed scoring runs. The game includes three ships, a concealed second loop with a true final boss on Normal Mode, and an additional ship in Version B. Mode- and ship-specific leaderboards include friend filters. A vertical display option provides X/Y scaling and smoothing.
