Our take on Drop Duchy
Every falling tile serves two purposes: it shapes the realm and determines how resources, structures, and troops develop for the rest of the run.
What is Drop Duchy?
Drop Duchy combines block-stacking puzzles, deckbuilding, and rogue-lite progression.
Each round presents a procedurally generated landscape where tile placement determines resource production, unit recruitment, and construction effects. Players arrange forests, rivers, plains, and other terrain to activate bonuses, form lines, and expand their realm. Resources support an army that protects the castle and fights enemy forces along branching paths. Battles and route choices continue until the enemy fortress is captured or the castle takes too much damage. Runs use more than 110 cards for buildings, technologies, upgrades, and modifiers, while markets and guilds offer trading opportunities. Defeat feeds long-term progression through more than 100 missions, new cards, bonuses, and faction rewards across three factions.
How Drop Duchy plays

- Building and technology cards provide upgrades, modifiers, and additional structures.
- 04Three Playable Factions
- The Duchy, Republic, and Order each have faction-specific quests and rewards.
- 05Persistent Run Progression
- More than 100 missions grant bonuses such as extra resources, cards, and health across runs.
- 06Markets And Guilds
- Trading locations provide resources that can be used to improve the deck and shape the next route.
