Our take on Blazing Chrome
Players looking for a measured opening may bounce off the first sustained enemy pushes, while those uncomfortable with repeated boss and miniboss encounters may hit the larger wall during the mission's combat-focused progression.
What is Blazing Chrome?
Blazing Chrome is a fast-paced run-and-gun action game set after an AI-controlled robot army takes over the world.
A small rebel group launches a mission to destroy a major AI power plant, with players choosing Mavra, a human resistance soldier, or Doyle, an insurgent robot. The game includes five apocalyptic environments filled with robot enemies, minibosses, and mechanical bosses. Combat uses firearms and includes sequences with motorcycles, heavy armor, and jetpacks. Local co-op allows two players to take part together. Its presentation combines a 16-bit-inspired post-apocalyptic setting with pixel art and an arcade-style structure focused on moving through enemy lines and surviving intense fights.
