Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking direct character control instead of turn-based card actions will hit a wall at the play-card, use-power, and draw-card structure.
- Players wanting a large roster in the base game may find the core selection limited to 10 heroes, 4 villains, and 4 environments.
- Players looking for a standalone campaign with no multiplayer or deck-building focus may not find the game's cooperative card format suitable.
Our take on Sentinels of Earth-Prime
The bounce point arrives at the turn structure: every action is filtered through playing a card, using a power, and drawing again. Players expecting direct superhero movement or conventional combat controls will meet that system immediately.
What is Sentinels of Earth-Prime?
Sentinels of Earth-Prime is a cooperative digital card game using the game system from Sentinels of the Multiverse and the world of Mutants & Masterminds.
Players lead hero teams against villains in four environments. Turns have three steps: play a card, activate a power, then draw a card. Cards with special abilities can combine or change game rules. The core game contains 10 heroes, 4 villains, 4 environments, and 10 hero variants, which are unlocked through storyline challenges.
Solo play uses 3 to 5 heroes; multiplayer options include pass-and-play and cross-platform online play. Fan-made decks and variants are supported through the Sentinels of the Multiverse Steam Workshop. With both games installed, owned Sentinels of the Multiverse content can also be used.
