Our take on Athena Crisis
Its breadth comes with a trade-off: players must engage with multiple modes, victory conditions, unit abilities, and creator tools rather than a narrowly focused campaign structure.
What is Athena Crisis?
Command more than 40 infantry, ground, naval, air, and special units in turn-based battles across several environments.
Single-player campaigns feature a humorous story and over 30 hours of official and community-created content. Multiplayer supports ranked or casual matches, synchronous or asynchronous play, and up to 7 players. Maps can be won by destroying enemy forces, capturing structures, escorting units to an escape zone, or surviving for a set period. Fog of war, terrain, lines of sight, unlockable skills, and unit powers shape each battle. A map and campaign editor supports custom encounters, dialogue, maps, and full campaigns. Progress can continue across Windows, macOS, iPhone, iPad, Android, Linux, and Steam Deck.
