Our take on One Deck Dungeon
The store presentation emphasizes a full roguelike experience in a compact format, but the base game is deliberately narrow: six heroes, five dungeons, and short repeatable runs. Much of the expanded content is sold separately as Steam downloadable content.
What is One Deck Dungeon?
One Deck Dungeon is a dungeon-crawling adventure for one or two players.
A run begins by choosing from six heroes, followed by encounters involving dice rolls, enemies, abilities, and time pressure. Heroes can progress between games toward unlocking up to 15 talents. The base game includes five dungeons featuring threats such as a wyvern, yeti, hydra, lich, and minotaur. Once the rules are familiar, a game takes about 15 minutes, although learning runs may take longer. The game supports Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch Pro controllers. Steam downloadable content adds heroes, dungeons, encounter cards, relics, progression options, and other content.
