Is Nitro Kid worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Roguelike fans who want deckbuilding combined with grid-based combat
- Strategy players who enjoy experimenting with distinct character playstyles
- Synthwave fans who want a card-driven game with a neon setting
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a fixed campaign may bounce off the run-based structure and repeated tower climbs
- Players who prefer simple combat may hit a wall when combining deck choices, movement, upgrades, and environmental tactics
- Players looking for large-scale military command will find the agent-focused battles narrower than a war strategy game
Our take on Nitro Kid
The bounce point arrives when movement, card combinations, upgrades, and agent-specific systems must be managed together. Players who prefer straightforward turn-by-turn attacks may hit the wall during tougher Security Levels, where the game adds difficulty after each tower clear.
What is Nitro Kid?
Nitro Kid is a synthwave roguelike deckbuilder set in a neon world.
Players choose from three unlockable agents, each with distinct cards, abilities, and playstyles, then build decks while advancing through three acts of INFINITY tower. Grid-based battles involve sliding around enemies, combining cards, and using the environment. Card upgrades, infusions, and agent patches provide ways to adapt each run. The game includes more than 250 cards, 50 unique enemies, 50 events, and 30 infusions. Clearing the tower unlocks 10 Security Levels with tougher challenges. The soundtrack contains more than 30 tracks composed by LudoWic, Tonebox, Jules Reves, and Laird Kruger.
