Our take on StarVaders
The repeated-play promise is tied to unlocking new cards, pilots, enemies, and bosses after runs, alongside daily and challenge modes. That emphasis may make the multi-part campaign and secret finale seem like the main structure, although the broader format centers on replaying runs.
What is StarVaders?
StarVaders combines card-based deck construction with tactical battles on a grid.
Players command one of three mechs, each with different mechanics and combat approaches, and select from 12 pilots who add cards, abilities, and personal story elements. Runs use cards, artifacts, upgrades, and Chrono Tokens, which can reverse earlier actions. A multi-part campaign leads toward a secret finale, while daily runs, challenge modes, and increasing difficulty provide additional structures. New cards, pilots, enemies, and bosses become available after runs. The game includes more than 400 cards and artifacts, with combat focused on assembling builds and using combinations against an alien invasion.
