Our take on FixFox
Rather than centering combat or survival pressure, this adventure makes repair work, meals, scenic travel, and friendships its main activities. Its mysteries unfold through a peaceful planet populated by personable machines, replacing the genre’s usual danger-first structure with practical kindness and whimsical problem-solving.
What is FixFox?
FixFox is a peaceful science-fiction adventure starring Vix, a space mechanic stranded on the planet Karamel with her toolbox, Tin.
Since tools are forbidden, repairs use improvised objects such as coins, bandages, and glowing bananas. Exploration can happen on foot, by scooter, or with a power loader, while hidden locations, pirate stashes, landmarks, and whimsical puzzles fill the planet. Vix also constructs and operates giant mechs to assist local robots. Meals, including soups, rice bowls, and pudding, provide social encounters that can reveal quest clues. The story begins with a beacon repair and expands into mysteries involving a missing sibling, artificial intelligences, and conflict between two planetary factions.
