Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a slower, story-led adventure may find the combat-focused structure too relentless
- Players who want broad non-combat activities may find the repeated fighting and equipment cycle narrow
- Players looking for stealth, disguises, and conversation systems may prefer Ghost of a Tale
- Players seeking cooperative tower defense alongside action-RPG combat may prefer Dungeon Defenders: Awakened
Our take on VOIN
Its focus on rapid first-person combat and repeated equipment cycles leaves less room for slower exploration, dialogue, or non-combat activities. The large enemy encounters also keep attention on constant movement and attacks rather than deliberate pacing.
What is VOIN?
VOIN is a first-person hack-and-slash set in a dark fantasy world.
Combat centers on fast movement, elemental attacks, and cutting through enemy hordes, with up to 300 foes appearing on screen at once. Exploration leads through areas such as Grimmir Expense, the Solar Forge, and the Thousand Names Atheneum, where secrets, weapons, gear, and artifacts can be found. The game includes new enemy swarms, rebalanced difficulty levels, and a massive dungeon added in the Inferno update. Progression cycles through combat, collecting equipment, returning to the Master’s Citadel, and preparing for another descent. Encounters include major bosses such as Fleshsmith Ramzedram.
