Our take on Undungeon
The bounce point arrives when combat and character building overlap: healing must be managed while enemies can take the remedy, and organs, nodes, runes, and crafted equipment shape the Herald. Players who do not want to balance these systems may hit a wall before the dimensional choices take hold.
What is Undungeon?
Undungeon is an action RPG set after several versions of Earth merge in a catastrophe called the Great Shift.
Players control a Herald working with H. U. B. , an interdimensional organization seeking to repair the damage across multiple dimensions. Combat takes place in real time, combining melee and ranged attacks with movement, healing, buffs, and debuffs. Heralds can receive organs, nodes, and runes that change their combat abilities, while crafting uses disassembled materials to create organs, weapons, gear, and consumables. The world includes distant regions, merchants, bandits, recruitable inhabitants, and camps that can be destroyed. Between missions, H. U. B. offers a place to recover and prepare. Decisions made as a Herald affect characters and entire dimensions.

Undungeon compared to similar games
Ghost of a Tale is also an action RPG, but its description emphasizes immersion, exploration, stealth, disguises, and conversations in an animal-populated medieval world, while Undungeon centers on real-time combat, dimensional travel, crafting, and Herald builds. Dungeon Defenders: Awakened combines cooperative action RPG play with tower defense, loot, leveling, pets, and character customization; Undungeon instead centers on Herald customization, open-world encounters, and decisions affecting dimensions.
