Our take on Reign of the Renegade
The run-based structure trades persistent, linear progression for repeated attempts shaped by dice, deck choices, and character specialization. That randomness supports varied builds, but it also makes each climb less predictable than a fixed sequence of encounters.
What is Reign of the Renegade?
Reign of the Renegade combines dice mechanics with deckbuilding and roguelite progression.
The objective is to climb a tower while managing risk and forming synergies between available options. Four characters provide different combat identities: the Warrior uses weapons, the Rogue works from the shadows, the Monk focuses on composure, and the Mage learns and casts spells. Each character has a distinct arsenal and strengths. Character development branches through 16 classes, including options such as Berserker and Executioner for the Warrior. The game includes more than 350 actions to learn, over 150 artifacts to collect, and over 150 enemies to defeat.
