Our take on Deck of Haunts
The defining structure is the day-and-night cycle: construct the mansion's maze by day, then use a frightening card deck to manipulate visitors after dark.
What is Deck of Haunts?
Play as a sentient haunted house that lures human explorers into its cursed mansion.
During the day, arrange rooms into a maze that protects the Heart room, the source of the house's power. At night, use cards to summon spirits, alter hallways, create scares, and push visitors toward madness. Special rooms provide additional powers, while traps and frightening encounters raise tension as humans move through the mansion. When explorers lose their sanity, extract their essence to expand the house, unlock rooms, strengthen haunting abilities, and attract more dangerous targets, including law enforcement and priests. New cards add effects such as screams, phantoms, creaking floors, and shifting walls. The Stone Masons also threaten the house's control.
