Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a combat-focused horror character may hit a wall with Chris, who must rely on stealth rather than fighting.
- Players seeking a manager mode without recurring combat may not enjoy the heroes’ visits every full moon.
- Players looking for a single-mode game may find the switch between survival horror and hotel management a poor fit.
Our take on Drosoph Hotel
Chris’s stealth requirement is a specific sticking point for players expecting to fight back during the horror sections. In manager mode, the recurring full-moon visits shift play toward defending the hotel with monsters, so players who want uninterrupted building may hit a wall there.
What is Drosoph Hotel?
Drosoph Hotel combines survival horror with hotel management.
In the horror mode, players control Chris, Lizzy and John as they try to survive and uncover the hotel’s mysteries. Chris relies on stealth rather than fighting, Lizzy can perceive ethereal beings, and John is a soldier trying to rescue people. In manager mode, players build rooms, frighten guests, summon ghosts, create monsters and confront seven heroes who arrive every full moon. The hotel can have up to 22 room types, and its rooms can be remodeled across three creepiness levels. Players can control nine kinds of monsters, each with distinct powers and combat styles, and create a zombie army. The manager also has Survival and Endless modes to play.
