Our take on Orb of Aeternum
Players who prefer predictable planning will hit a wall when a new mountain layout changes the available routes and resources. Those who want a calmer management loop may bounce off when human intruders keep arriving and force combat alongside construction.
What is Orb of Aeternum?
Orb of Aeternum is a short dungeon-management game built around mining, construction, and combat.
Players dig through a randomly generated mountain to find gold and ancient artefacts, then use scrolls to create rooms such as lava pools, fighting pits, spike-trap workshops, stone-gazing rooms, and blood altars. These rooms support dungeon upgrades and unit training, including turning miners into warriors. Human intruders attack repeatedly, requiring changing strategies during each session. The objective is to locate four runestones and seal away the Orb of Aeternum. The game uses pixel art and chiptune music, with a selection of rooms that includes facilities for training brutes, placing traps, revealing more of the mountain, and converting miners.
