Our take on Corebreaker
Its defining structure is the reset-based descent: Nova loses run progress after failure, while selected resources and upgrade chips carry forward into later attempts.
What is Corebreaker?
Corebreaker is an action-platformer with roguelike elements.
Nova, a robot awakened as humanity faces extinction, travels through underground ruins to reach the core while fighting machines. Each deployment changes the ruin structure and enemy configurations. Four biomes feature distinct enemies, mini-bosses, and boss fights. Movement combines running, jumping, dashing, shooting, and melee attacks. After failure, run progress resets, but some collected resources and power-up chips remain for permanent system improvements. More than 20 abilities, 50 upgrades, and 40 weapons support different builds. Breaking walls can reveal hidden rooms with resources and treasures, while terminals and weapon shops offer ways to prepare. A global leaderboard tracks high scores.
