Our take on Active DBG: Brave's Rage
Rather than treating deckbuilding as a pause-and-plan exercise, the game places card decisions inside an active-time battle system. Bullet-time provides control over card timing, while blocks, dodges, counters, and special moves make timing part of deck strategy.
What is Active DBG: Brave's Rage?
Active DBG: Brave's Rage combines roguelite deckbuilding with an active-time-battle combat system.
Each journey begins with a pair of Braves, including a second character recruited from the Tavern. The game features 9 playable Braves, each with distinct skills, playstyles, and deck pools. Combat involves choosing when to play cards and using blocks, dodges, counterattacks, and MAX Moves in response to enemy actions. Bullet-time allows players to determine the precise timing of card play. Randomized quests and events offer opportunities to gain items and grow stronger. Progress through 20 challenge tiers unlocks alternate versions of Braves. The adventure follows the Braves as they pursue the rescue of the Princess while facing dangerous foes.
