Our take on Welcome To Everdell
The family-friendly presentation foregrounds the setting and characters, while the actual play is a structured card-and-resource contest. The four-round format, card timing rules, and one-time Parade conditions define the experience more than the make-believe city theme does.
What is Welcome To Everdell?
Welcome To Everdell is a digital adaptation of a family board game centered on building a make-believe city.
Across four rounds, players send Friends into the forest to collect berries, twigs, and resin, then spend those resources on critter and place cards. Cards provide different effects: some activate when played, at the start of later rounds, after specific cards or Parades, when a Friend is placed on them, or only at the end of the game. Players can also earn Parade bonuses by collecting sets such as five Places, five Critters, cards showing every colored symbol, or three cards of one color other than Green. After the fourth round, points are added and the highest total wins.
