Our take on Flash Point: Fire Rescue
The turn-based format makes each move a resource decision, but it gives up the immediacy of real-time firefighting. Its focus stays on managing a squad and rescuing people inside one structural-fire scenario type rather than shifting among unrelated activities.
What is Flash Point: Fire Rescue?
Flash Point: Fire Rescue is a turn-based strategy game based on a board game.
Players command a firefighter squad inside a burning building, using limited action points and each member’s abilities to explore, manage the fire, and rescue survivors. The fire can spread, explosions may occur, and the structure can collapse, so the team must work against time. Family Rules mode simplifies play and includes false alarms alongside survivor rescues and firefighting. Experienced Rules mode gives squad members distinct skills, such as breaking through walls, reviving unconscious survivors, and directing teammates away from danger. The game focuses on coordinating the team through changing fire scenarios and getting survivors out before the building is destroyed.
