- Players looking for conventional combat may not want a system built around automatic cursor-based attacks.
Our take on Xenosensory
Its defining structure is a cursor-centered incremental loop: hovering over Xenos handles the basic attacks, while short rounds feed a meta-progression tree of perks, actions, gadgets, and other unlocks.
What is Xenosensory?
Xenosensory is a short incremental horror game set on a prison station attacked by unknown lifeforms.
Hovering over Xenos automatically defeats them, generating Research Points while convicts move toward evacuation. Each short round awards Meta Points that can be spent on perks, actions, gadgets, and other additions through an upgrade tree. Players progress through sectors with different layouts, Xenoforms, and Anomalies, while lore logs reveal the station’s secrets. Gadgets offer special effects but have equip limits, and actions can be assigned to buttons for strategic use. A randomised mode changes the Meta Tree and level mechanics. An unlockable A. I. Pong mini-game can generate Meta Points during idle play, and secret apples are hidden throughout the game.
