Our take on Chop Chains
The bounce point arrives when the chopping loop becomes the main interaction: cursor placement, wood collection, skill spending, and axe crafting drive progression. Players looking for varied moment-to-moment controls or a campaign structure may stop there, especially after automatic forest production becomes available.
What is Chop Chains?
Chop Chains is an incremental game centered on cutting trees with a cursor-controlled axe.
Trees within the axe’s reach take damage automatically and drop wood when chopped. Different wood types have distinct values and rarities. Collected wood funds permanent improvements in a skill tree, including greater power, a larger axe, and increased luck. Additional abilities can summon lightning, trigger chained axe attacks, or call moles. Wood types can also be combined to make axes with improved statistics and occasional special powers. After unlocking the Forest, it generates wood automatically. Spawn Control later allows selected trees to be targeted for chopping.
