Our take on Warplan Pacific
Rather than focusing on one battle or a small force, the game operates across a broad Pacific theatre and combines land, air, and naval campaigns with production and supply management. Its scenario selection also includes shorter regional conflicts alongside a full-war campaign.
What is Warplan Pacific?
WarPlan Pacific is an operational-level strategy game set across the Pacific conflict between late 1941 and the end of 1945.
Its hex-based map models terrain, resources, weather, and supply links, while hidden information and communications intelligence shape awareness of units and naval movements. Operations include land, air, and naval combat, with attacks across multiple hexes, targeted air missions, and several forms of fleet engagement. Economic management covers oil, manpower, logistics, strategic resources, trade, and convoy areas. Formations may be divided, merged, or assigned special roles, and each nation fields units with distinct attributes. Five scenarios span the complete war, carrier operations, China, Okinawa, and the Solomon Islands. Multiplayer supports hotseat and play-by-email modes.
