Our take on WarPlan
The emphasis on historical scale and layered management trades immediacy for preparation. Decisions span production, supply, diplomacy, technology, weather, terrain, and several combat domains, so individual battles sit within a wider operational structure.
What is WarPlan?
WarPlan is a World War II strategy simulation covering up to 70 potential countries on a hex-based map.
Players choose from multiple scenarios and scales while managing production, oil, manpower, logistics, resources, trade, convoys, supply routes, diplomacy, and technological development. Combat includes land operations, air attacks, naval fleets, submarines, carriers, raiders, and night actions. Units have attributes, specialties, commanders, support types, and configurable equipment. Terrain, weather, detection levels, railways, ports, headquarters, and distance affect operations. The game supports artificial-intelligence opponents, hotseat play, and play-by-email, and includes an editor for creating scenarios and modifications.
