What is Oriental Empires?
Oriental Empires is a turn-based 4X strategy game set in ancient China.
Players begin with one of 24 factions, each offering distinct bonuses or penalties, and expand from a settlement or tribe into an empire. The game combines settlement development, landscape improvement, buildings, markets, ports, trade, research, cultural and religious progression, diplomacy, and warfare. Battles unfold on a single map, where formations, orders, reinforcements, and armies containing hundreds or thousands of soldiers determine engagements. Leaders, sieges, unrest, rebellion, authority, and culture also affect imperial development. As emperor, players issue edicts, laws, and decrees while advancing into new eras. Multiplayer supports up to 15 players.
