Our take on Second Sun
Its core layout combines an open map with enemies, landmarks, rewards, and dungeons placed or created through procedural generation, mixing set locations with encounters that vary between explorations.
What is Second Sun?
Second Sun is a first-person action RPG set amid a civil war pitting the Empire against the Order of the Second Sun.
Players control a Sunborn warrior charged with protecting the Empire, select a class, and combine its skills with weapons in rapid combat built around movement. The open map features landmarks and points of interest; enemy locations, loot, and dungeons are generated procedurally. Opponents can chase the player, strike at close quarters, or fire from a distance. Defeating foes and searching chests can produce equipment, while character stats can be chosen and gear and abilities upgraded. Exploration and fighting form part of a campaign to bring back the Good Sun’s light and keep the world from descending into darkness.
