Our take on Strange Antiquities
The defining structure is an occult shopkeeper’s daily routine: each customer brings an artefact problem that must be solved through observation, reference books, and a consequential choice.
What is Strange Antiquities?
Run a shop selling occult antiquities in the gloomy town of Undermere.
Each day brings customers with unusual needs, requiring examination, identification, and cataloguing of strange artefacts using illustrated reference books. Decisions about potent objects can aid townsfolk or impose harmful effects, with the community remembering misconduct. Outside the store, hand-drawn maps guide investigations and searches for artefacts. The building contains puzzles and hidden secrets, while a spreading sickness and other supernatural threats affect the town. The game also includes daily interactions with Jupiter, the shop cat. Its story is separate from Strange Horticulture, although some characters and plants may return.
