Progress depends on reaching a mountain summit where a portal awaits, giving the Vikings a chance to demonstrate their worth. Lessons learned and accomplishments remain available on future maps. The game combines settlement management, resource collection, survival tasks, and continuing advancement through a sequence of procedurally created levels.
