What is Iron Tides?
Iron Tides casts the player as a Viking chieftain leading a crew through a dangerous, hand-crafted ocean.
Voyages include chance encounters, ruins, temples, warship decks, enemy garrisons, and merchants. Battles use quick, turn-based tactics, while narrative encounters offer several possible responses, including bribery, trading, and plundering. After a voyage, the crew returns to Norhaven to buy supplies, recruit warriors, and prepare another raid. Each Viking receives four abilities from a pool of seven and follows a procedurally generated upgrade path. Fallen warriors do not return for later raids, making crew losses permanent. The game combines sea exploration, tactical combat, dungeon-crawler elements, loot collection, and stronghold preparation.
