Our take on Rogue Summoner
The creature-collection premise suggests a growing roster, but dungeon deaths remove upgrades and summoned monsters from the loadout. The central progression therefore depends on learning patterns and secrets rather than retaining a permanent combat setup.
What is Rogue Summoner?
Rogue Summoner is a turn-based tactics roguelike in which summoned creatures fight in place of the player.
Each run moves through procedurally generated dungeons with different themes, sizes, difficulty levels, and monsters. Creatures defeated in combat can be added to the available loadout, while their behaviors, strengths, and weaknesses shape tactical decisions. Battles use a tabletop-style system for planning and executing attacks, with combinations involving monsters, magic potions, and rune spells. Death sends the run back to the start of its current dungeon and removes upgrades and monsters from the loadout. Progress comes from learning dungeon secrets, improving skills while advancing, and applying creature abilities in new combinations.
