SimulationIs Interstellar Rift worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Space simulation fans who want to design and live aboard custom vessels
- Multiplayer groups interested in crew-based exploration and ship combat
- Players who enjoy mining, trading, faction missions, and open-ended galaxy travel
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly directed campaign may find the open-ended galaxy structure too diffuse
- Players who want action without ship construction, resource gathering, trading, or exploration may find the systems-heavy pace slow
- Solo players looking for a purely isolated experience may not suit the multiplayer crew and rival-fleet structure
Our take on Interstellar Rift
Rather than treating a starship as a temporary vehicle, the game makes ship construction and onboard living central activities. Exploration is tied to mapping, resource gathering, trade, faction work, and crew interaction, while combat can continue inside an opposing vessel.
What is Interstellar Rift?
Interstellar Rift is an open-world starship simulator centered on ship construction and multiplayer interaction.
Players design vessels deck by deck, shaping interiors and exteriors for roles ranging from exploration to cargo hauling and combat. Ships can serve as homes during galaxy travel, or players can use community-made blueprints from the workshop. Exploration involves mapping systems, locating resources, and opening routes with rift generators. Players can mine ores with extractors or drones, automate cargo transfers, trade through stores or their own shop, and take faction missions. Combat includes battles against the Skrill, pirates, and rival fleets, with both ship-to-ship encounters and boarding fights. Other players may join a crew, cooperate against threats, or operate competing fleets.
