Is Starship EVO worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Survival-crafting players who want progression from a stranded planet to space travel
- Builders who want to create detailed ships, mechs, and stations
- Space-game fans who want exploration, missions, trading, and crew recruitment
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a short, tightly scripted adventure rather than resource gathering and extended construction
- Players who want simple building tools instead of systems wiring, power management, and detailed ship interiors
- Players buying primarily for multiplayer, since multiplayer currently requires port forwarding and the vendor advises against buying it for that purpose for now
Our take on Starship EVO
Instead of limiting space survival to gathering and combat, the game makes ship construction a central structure. Progression moves from planetary resource work into engineered vessels, connected onboard systems, crew management, and travel between surfaces and orbit.
What is Starship EVO?
After a crash strands the crew on a planet, progress begins with mining, harvesting, crafting, and building a hovercraft.
Production can expand through an assembler, arc-furnace, and H2 farm while managing power and inventory networks. Construct a spaceship, manage fuel and oxygen, reach orbit, upgrade the drive and weapons, and confront pirates blocking the Stargate. The building system supports ships, mechs, and space stations using adjustable bricks, mixed grid sizes from 0. 125m to 32m, paint, decals, rotors, hinges, pistons, and other components. Systems including artificial gravity, life support, mag-lock, and event-gate logic can be connected. Space stations offer trading and missions, while alien crewmembers can be hired.
How Starship EVO plays

- 02Ship Systems
- Create cockpits, landing gear, turrets, interiors, and connected systems using rotors, hinges, pistons, sensors, and event gates.
- 03Survival Progression
- Begin with resource gathering and crafting, then expand production, manage power and inventory, and build a ship capable of reaching orbit.
- 04Galaxy Exploration
- Travel between orbit, planetary surfaces, and asteroid rings while visiting stations, trading goods, and taking missions.

Starship EVO compared to similar games
Mr. Prepper also centers on survival crafting, but places its preparation around an underground shelter and an authoritarian-government setting. Starship EVO moves that progression into planetary production, spacecraft construction, orbital travel, galaxy exploration, trading, missions, and crew recruitment.
