Our take on Jumpdrive
The open-ended sandbox gives players freedom to choose their activities, but trades away the direction of a fixed campaign. That structure may offer less guidance for players who prefer a set sequence of missions and objectives.
What is Jumpdrive?
Jumpdrive is a single-player sandbox space simulation set in an alternate future inspired by classic science fiction.
Players can fight, trade and explore a procedurally generated galaxy containing millions of planets and stars. The setting spans thousands of light years and includes freighters on trade routes, stations orbiting planets and independent captains traveling through space. Travel includes jumps between stars, movement through star systems and planetary landings without loading screens. Players can pursue objectives through different approaches, accumulate money and power, then upgrade or purchase ships. The game focuses on open-ended spacefaring and individual play.
