Our take on GoNNER
Rather than using fixed platforming stages, GoNNER rebuilds its levels for each attempt and makes frequent death part of the structure. Its daily mode also gives every player the same generated world and loadout for one run, adding a shared contest to its roguelike format.
What is GoNNER?
GoNNER is a challenging 2D platform game built around scoring, changing level layouts, and roguelike runs.
Every attempt creates a new arrangement with its own hazards and possibilities. Before setting out, players select abilities that remain passive or require activation, then explore hidden locations, find objects that become available from the outset of future attempts, fight monsters, chain combos, and pursue leaderboard scores. The Daily Challenge permits one play each day: all participants receive the same generated environment and equipment, and the mode refreshes at midnight in Sweden (UTC+1).
Repeated deaths are an intentional part of progression. Its story centers on Ikk, who searches the shadowy surroundings for a gift to lift the spirits of Sally, a whale unable to move through the land, while the game also explores the bond among Ikk, Death, and Sally.
