Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking combat beyond aircraft missions may find the focus narrow

- Players looking for modern aircraft rather than World War II fighters
- Players uninterested in historical film footage or aerial mission roles
Our take on European Air War
The game concentrates its play on piloting and squadron command, so its mission variety remains within aerial combat roles such as escort, interception, and bombing. That focus leaves less room for activities outside the air-war structure.
What is European Air War?
European Air War is a World War II flight combat game set over Europe.
It includes 20 fighter aircraft from American, British, and German forces, each represented with specific flight behavior and cockpit detail. Missions support up to 256 aircraft in the air at once and cover fighter sweeps, bombing targets, escort duties, interception, and interdiction. The campaign lets pilots build skills over time while taking on increasing responsibility within their squadron. Scenarios include defending England from German bombers, escorting B-17 bombing operations, and fighting Messerschmitts over France. A newsreel feature presents historical film footage alongside the campaign and mission-based flying.
