What is Wings Over Europe?
Wings Over Europe is an air-combat simulation set during the Cold War.
It includes 12 flyable fighters, such as the F-100 Super Sabre, F-105 Thunderchief, F-4 Phantom II, F-15 Eagle, A-10 Thunderbolt II, British Hunter, and Harrier. Missions take place across Central Europe in three campaigns and feature combat against 13 types of Soviet aircraft. A random mission generator creates additional sorties, while campaign missions can produce different outcomes. The game includes volumetric clouds, dynamic lighting, detailed aircraft and weapons, flight models, and enemy AI. Successful missions award decorations, awards, and promotions. Mod support covers user-created aircraft, skins, terrain, missions, campaigns, and editors.
