Our take on Battleship Command
The bounce point arrives at the bridge and control stations: players must move beyond issuing broad fleet orders and engage with gunnery, radar, navigation, and damage control to operate the ship.
What is Battleship Command?
Battleship Command places players aboard a 30,000-ton Scharnhorst-class battleship during World War II.
The ship can be explored from a first-person view, including its decks, bridges, and control rooms. Players may issue crew orders or operate stations for gunnery, radar, navigation, and damage control. Missions cover the Atlantic, Norwegian Sea, and Mediterranean, with convoy hunts, enemy warships, and fleet engagements involving destroyers, cruisers, and battleships. Radar, rangefinders, and fire-control equipment support target tracking and attacks. Changing weather, fog, ocean conditions, lighting, and a day-night cycle affect visibility. The game includes historical and fictional missions, a scenario editor, realistic damage and flooding, and a living maritime environment with convoys, patrols, and merchant traffic.
How Battleship Command plays

- 05Ship Damage
