Our take on Silent Depth 3D Submarine Simulation
The defining structure is command of a single WWII submarine across extended Pacific patrols, balancing attacks against merchant shipping with concealment, escort threats, and repair priorities.
What is Silent Depth 3D Submarine Simulation?
Silent Depth is a 3D WWII submarine simulation set across the Pacific.
Players command a Gato or Balao class US Navy submarine on extended patrols, targeting Japanese merchant ships with torpedoes or a deck gun while avoiding destroyer escorts. Patrol conditions include changing day and night lighting, weather effects such as fog and rain, and altered visibility. Damage to the submarine requires repair work and task prioritization based on whether the vessel is surfaced. Encounters include more than 10 ship types, including battleships, carriers, destroyers, cruisers, tankers, troop transports, freighters, and submarines. Fleets may appear with escorts, without escorts, or as individual targets. Three difficulty levels and water-quality settings are included.
