Our take on War on the Sea
Aircraft are handled through tactical commands rather than direct piloting, which separates this naval combat game from flight simulators. Its campaign also places ship, submarine, and aircraft command within a World War II South Pacific setting.
What is War on the Sea?
War on the Sea is a real-time naval combat game set in the South Pacific in 1942, during the struggle for control of the Solomon Islands.
Players command Allied forces or Imperial Japan, choosing how to protect transports carrying troops and supplies. The available forces include more than 50 classes of playable ships, along with submarines and aircraft. Aircraft are controlled tactically; the game is not a flight simulator. A dynamic campaign accompanies historical missions based on actual naval engagements. During combat, players can fight fires, counter flooding in compartments, and repair ships. Ships can sink through buoyancy physics, while an external view presents the action.
