Our take on Battle Fleet 2
Rather than treating naval combat as broad fleet movement, the game makes individual shot placement central: angle, power and target location all matter. Fog of war and reconnaissance also replace constant battlefield visibility with a scouting-focused structure.
What is Battle Fleet 2?
Battle Fleet 2 is a turn-based naval strategy game where players select warships, assign weapons and captains, then control each shot's angle and power.
Battles use 3D terrain, ship models and location-based damage: attacks can target engines to reduce movement or command centers to disable ships for a turn. Seven ship classes offer different weapon mounts, mobility and hit locations. Weapons include naval artillery, torpedoes and anti-aircraft guns, while aircraft support reconnaissance and attacks. Fog of war makes scouting relevant, and command cards provide actions such as mines, sabotage and airstrikes. The game includes Pacific and Atlantic campaigns, random skirmishes, single-player scenarios, cross-platform multiplayer, hotseat multiplayer and full-game VR support.
