Our take on End of Lines
The store presentation foregrounds the illustrated journey and survival stakes, but the core format is an interactive graphic novel rather than a conventional action-adventure game. Players looking for mechanical variety beyond choices, supplies and morale management may find the scope narrower than the dramatic premise suggests.
What is End of Lines?
End of Lines is an interactive graphic novel set in Southern Europe near the end of the 21st century, after a climate-induced apocalypse.
Players follow Camille, Nora, their son Sam, Uncle Rafik and other survivors as they travel through devastated countryside in search of a habitable settlement. Choices shape the group’s fate while supplies and morale must be managed in an environment where death can occur. Each playthrough presents a novel-sized adventure with a portion of the game’s hundreds of hand-painted illustrations. The story follows a family unit, their encounters with people met along the route and a future shaped by unchecked climate change. A soundtrack accompanies the journey.
