Our take on Erzurum
Rather than centering on combat or a single fixed campaign, Erzurum puts cold, food, fuel, and shelter at the heart of its survival loop. Its story is paired with an endless sandbox and selectable challenge conditions, so the structure extends beyond a linear journey.
What is Erzurum?
Erzurum is a winter survival game about Taylan, who travels on foot through remote areas during winter and enters a region affected by a meteor strike.
Survival involves finding fuel for fires, beds, food, weapons, medical supplies, and tools while contending with cold, hunger, thirst, and wildlife. Story mode follows the events Taylan encounters. Sandbox offers an endless run with the same mechanics, and death allows continuation from the last save. Challenge mode adds options such as timed missions, storms, colder weather, and more predators. The 9-square-kilometre world has more than 30 locations, with changing weather, temperature, and time. Players can gather materials, craft tools and ammunition, cook food, hunt animals, and switch between first-person and third-person views.
