Our take on Seers Isle
Its focus on branching character relationships and illustrated storytelling leaves little room for action mechanics or systems beyond narrative choice. The result is a game centered on reading, dialogue, and replaying routes rather than active control during exploration.
What is Seers Isle?
Seers Isle is an interactive graphic novel set on a fantasy island inspired by medieval northern Europe.
A group of shaman apprentices arrives to undergo magical initiation and search for spirit-guides called the Seers. While moving through the wilderness, they encounter unsettling visions and a mysterious horned woman. Choices alter the main character’s mood, personality, and connections with the rest of the group. The story uses a dynamic dialogue system presented in a comic-book format, with hand-drawn images accompanying each playthrough. Music changes with decisions and scene moods. Different relationship choices, including selecting a soulmate, lead to multiple narrative routes and endings, giving the game a branching structure across repeated playthroughs.
